Over the last year, I’ve posted on a regular basis about new collections going online, or updates to existing collections.
As 2013 progressed, the pace of online publications grew. A lot. The original scope of what I was trying to do with this site was just too big – it was more than I could keep up with. In evaluating this project at the end of the year, I’ve decided that there are a few changes we need to make.
I’ll share more in the future, but to start off with, I wanted to let you know about two things we are doing:
How to follow genealogy websites
A List of GeneaNews blogs and sites
There are a number of blogs out there that post regularly about online collection news. Generally, they are locality-specific, and they often post about more than just genealogy news. But it’s not always easy to find them. So I’ll create a listing of those bloggers who post specifically about online genealogy news. (For specific localities – it’s easier to find the more general ones. You probably already know about them.)
What do you mean, Part 1?
Well, I’m so glad you asked! Part 1 means that there are a couple other things we’ll be doing that we’ll let you know about in the near future too.
